After the spread of news of Chikungunya Virus in Karachi,

Camp setup by Alkhidmat

Al-Khidmat Karachi’s Disaster Management team with the support of Al-Khidmat Karachi Health Unit carried out Medical Camp in affected area of Malir Karachi on 20th December 2016.

A team of medical doctors  comprising Dr. Muhammad Ali and Dr.Naeem Rao, carried out medical check up of the patients.

A large team of para-medical staff comprising staff members from various Al-Khidmat Karachi Health Units, provided prescribed medicine to the patients and briefed them about the precautionary measure to reduce the risk of spread of the virus.

In order to organize huge crowd of the patients and facilitate them, proper sitting arrangements with availability of clean drinking water was made at the camp site. Similarly a  pack of 250 ml Juice was also distributed among patients. A large number of volunteers were available at the camp site to guide the patients.

Syed Qazi Sadruddin, Controller Disaster Management and Mr. Muhammad Younus Barie, Amir Zilla, Karachi East, visited the camp and observed the arrangement to ensure maximum facilitation to the patients.

During the camp 1,020 patients were provided medical checkup and awareness about the symptoms of Chikungunya virus and its preventive measure.
