Al-Khidmat Karachi is on front foot for welfare of inmates and helped a number of prisoners languishing in jails for minor crimes and unable to pay meager penalty on their release.

Director Community Services, Qazi Syed Sadruddin addressing a seminar ‘study on unkind life behind bars’ arranged by Ziauddin University, Centre of Human Rights Faculty of Law said that Al-Khidmat has set up computer institutes, installed water filtration plants, distribution of ration and winter packages to soothe hard time of prisoners.

Computer education and skill enable them to spend a respectable life after their release, he mentioned.
