In order to thanks Allah (SWT) and show gratitude for all that He does for us every day, we should donate Zakat-ul-Fitr and allow those less fortunate than ourselves to join us in the festivities and celebration of Eid.

Eid-ul-Fitr is a time for family, friends, food, and festivity; it is a joyous occasion that many Muslims look forward to all year round.

However, the reality is that so many of our brothers and sisters simply do not have the necessary means to celebrate Eid as we do. When every day is a struggle to survive, the festivities of Eid are understandably far from people’s minds.

Zakat-ul-Fitr, also known as Fitrana, is a payment that allows those less fortunate to join in with Eid celebrations, just as we do.
